INTEGRATIVE PSYCHOTHERAPY |
As diabetologist I soon realized that only my medical knowledge was not enough to treat people with diabetes the way I felt it was needed-also from a psychosocial perspective. I have first experienced the beneficial psychological approach during my studies at the diabetes department of the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam back in 1994.
Now, in 2015, I am also a certified integrative psychotherapist (IIPA), integrating knowledge and experience from the psychotherapeutical and medical viewpoint. I build on relation with my patients which eventually can help them to accept diabetes and live a better life with it. |

What do we do?
We deal with people who have: - Type 1 diabetes
- trouble with hypoglycaemia (recurring episodes of hypoglycaemia, fear of hypohlycaemia)
- Type 2 diabetes
- trouble managing diabetes
- impaired glucose tolerance
- impaired fasting glycaemia

We also help people who: - want to lose weight
